８月中旬に３日だけデモ機を借りて実働試験を行ったが，ＷＥＢのＣＧＩの違いでカウンターが動かないぐらいで自由度は高いような印象しかなかった。 ただ，初めてＩＤＣを使う悲しさ。８月末に実導入する際，悪戦苦闘する羽目に陥った。
苦闘その① ８／２６に実機が届きゼロックスＳＥが導入準備にかかった直後からトラブル。ＩＤＣにつながらないのだ。 弊社の場合ルーター設置の後，ＤＭＺにサーバー２台，ｐｌｏｘｙも２台でグローバルからローカルへ変換し社内ネットへ引き込んでいた。 だがｂｅａｔゲートウエイは基本的にＷＡＮ側サイド直付け思想で，ＤＨＣＰでＷＡＮ側にＩＰを振らないとアサインできない。結局ルーターをＤＨＣＰに設定変更して，ようやくＩＤＣへつながった。 なんとこの機械，マニュアルでＷＡＮ側ＩＰが振れない仕様なのだ。 この後，ＩＤＣからパッチや初期設定を流し込むのに，１時間近くかかる。弊社の回線は光ファイバーなんですが，なんでｴ．．．．．．普通なら工場で各客先向けに初期設定を行うんですが，現場ＳＥ泣かせの導入仕様ですね。思いやりのないＢｅａｔ事業部だわ。昼前からセッティングにかかってゼロックスＳＥが帰ったのは夕方５時近く，お昼も食べていただけませんでした．．．．．．．．

XEROXのbeatを検索していて伺いました。
自分は社内某部門のネットワーク管理をしています。
beatユーザーの情報は少ないですね。ネット上では宣伝文句しかヒットしません。
ウチでは2004年にNTTのホスティングからbeatへ乗り換え導入しましたが、これまでにあまりにも頼りなく、問題ばかりでもう疲れましたょ。
導入当初は
ドメインに参加して使用できない
win98にインストールできないAntivirus
beat-boxのアクセスレスポンスが遅い
など最初の３日で「ハァ？」と思いました。
コンタクトセンターはマニュアル氏ばかりだし(どこでも客窓は同じ？)
windowsの更新を迫るメールはうっとうしいし、
クライアントアプリケーションの更新は通知されずに勝手に新しくなってたり・・・・
細かく言ったらきりがないほどです。
こんなに手間の掛かるシステムを、よく『おまかせでOK』の謳い文句で売るなぁと。
以前のホスティングサービスの方が手間が掛からなかったような気がします。
その後はどうですか？
